Many Phuket tourists arrive in the tropical paradise of Phuket without any form of accident insurance and unfortunately too many end up having an unnecessary accident.

Of course a lot of people come for the very good medical services available on the Island most for a vacation to relax and enjoy themselves, for some it can turn into a holiday nightmare.

Phuket Hospitals and Tourists

The busiest government run hospital is Vichira, situated in the centre of Phuket and the normal place where uninsured Phuket tourists are taken after a serious accident.

Patong Hospital is as you can imagine the busiest regarding less serious accidents and situated on the west coast and right in the centre of the Patong nightlife, drinking and sometimes fighting of the most popular resort in Phuket….Patong.

It is normal for a serious accident case on the South West Coast nightlife zones of Kamala, Patong, Karon and Kata to be taken here first before being moved to Vichira or one of the private hospitals if the injuries are more serious.

Typically drink induced, normally avoidable as Phuket Tourists arrive and rent motor bikes and drink and drive, two things they would never do at home and combined can only lead to trouble and sometime fatal trouble.
